Morning birding in the park. Drive to Kathmandu stopping en route for birding (5-6 hr.).
Fly to Paro by Druk Air. Look for Ibisbill in Paru chu near the car park. Transfer to the hotel. Go birding at Paro chu again. Overnight in the hotel.
Morning birding tour along the river Paro chu. After breakfast, visit the Natural History Museum at Ta Dzong. Afternoon drive to the capital city of Thimpu stopping en route to look for Ibisbill and other birds. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Leave very early in the morning for Phobjhika (6 hr.) stopping enroute for an hour at Dochula for birding. After lunch visit the Gangtey Gompa (monastery). Evening birding in Phobjhika valley. Overnight stay in a guest house.
Early morning walk to the bogs to see the black-necked cranes. Return to the guest house for breakfast. Drive to Punakha. Overnight at the hotel.
A short walk along River Mo Chu and the surrounding forests are very productive for birding. Overnight stay at the hotel at Punakha.
Drive to Thimpu (3 ½ hr.) stopping for birding en route. Afternoon proceed to the entrance of Jigmey Dorji National Park for birding till sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Morning visit to the zoo to see Takin and for birding. Drive to Paro (3 hr.). Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
